Join this weekend intensive on the Medicine Wheel and it’s symbolic associations. You will learn the traditional Lakota Wheel directions…their meanings, symbols, colors, treatments and the personal uses for modern times. But more, you will learn how to use the Wheel in its modern day setting.
The Medicine Wheel is a practical structure for the planning and living of day-to-day life among tribal peoples, and it is utilization of both the practical and the magical align with our current reintegration into the 21st Century.
You will learn how to journey around the wheel gaining wisdom into the teachings of the nine lodges to bring greater insight and guidance to daily life and your relationship to the flow of the Wheel.
You will create a personal Medicine Wheel to reflect yourself and your present surroundings as the week-end progresses. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a notebook, and a potluck dish to share for Sunday’s end class. Please bring a ceremonial item for the Center Wheel for Friday nights class.
