Malachite has a long history of recognition and use, and was once considered the stone of kings. The Egyptians used it as early as 3000 B.C. And the Greeks and Romans used it for ornamentation and ground it up for eye shadow. Large amounts were found in the Urals, Russia for inlay and for paneling walls in their castles. Today, we have the gift of equality and a dynamic equanimity unusual before present times. And again, Malachite plays a role in directing community by helping you find individuality within the group.

Malachite is a strong heart chakra and etheric heart stone. It awakens the memories of the heart chakra to help you see the emotional traps you set for yourself when you may have turned off your compassion to protect your vulnerability. It can help your inner knowing to help distinguish why you give your creative power away; it can also show you the holes in your inability to take responsibility for that power yourself and to use it effectively.

If you have ever misused personal power in past lives, this stone will shake your emotions to help to focus all memory into the heart center. You may even find Malachite a difficult stone to use for this reason.

Malachite can also be a strong protection stone from negative energies. Used with black tourmaline, you can address both the protection of your inner self and your outer environment simultaneously. This stone can be a remarkable protective shell without diminishing your intuitiveness.

Malachite gives a strong sense of willpower to any endeavor, from sustaining a new creative practice to losing weight or stopping a habit that no longer serves you.

Mangano

Mangano, also known as pink calcite, is a recent find for us from Peru. It looks like the clouds at sunset with its pale pink surface interspersed with paler pink and white lines. Everyone that has seen it loves it!

Where rose quartz is used for healing childhood hurts and sorrows, Mangano is used on the heart for reuniting the soul with the Spirit. This stone will definitely be the fifth heart chakra stone for your lay-outs or for personal use. It is most helpful for the Indigo child in your life, and for the person who has always felt a disconnection with life and the Earth.

Mangano is here to bring the missing pieces back together in a loving and gentle way. For we universal travelers, the Star Children, this stone is like coming home.

Metallic Minerals

Using metallic minerals in your private healing practice or in your meditations can be quite stimulating and detoxifying. Many of them are bio-electrically enhancing and will add to any environment.

Pyrite, also know as “fool’s gold” is a shiny golden mineral found in rough and crystallized formations. While it is best known to stimulate abundance, it is a very powerful stone to use for grid work in the aura. Placed around the body, in the etheric aura, it will stimulate the molecular auric structure to strengthen boundaries and repel negative tracking devises or attachments.

Covalite was previously found mainly in Montana copper mining area, the latest find comes from the Andes. This Peruvian Covalite is a rich, dark blue and, unlike its US cousin, holds its structural integrity rather than flaking. One of its best uses is to detoxify the blood. Used in conjunction with clear quartz crystal points, it becomes doubly powerful. this is an excellent stone placed next to your computer screen to repel reactive electrical impulses and protect from radiation poisoning.

Hematite is still one of the best grounding stones for those of us that become easily over stimulated or de-focused. It will remind you of the importance of where you¹re placing your feet and the planet you walk upon. It will also stimulate circulation and stagnation in the body.

<Copper is still one of the best conduits for just about anything…thought, energy, magnification. This stone is excellent for arthritis, stiff joints and other structural ailments. Holding a copper sphere in both hands will close your circuits and regulate the body¹s bio-electrical impulses, assisting in better thought processes and focus.

Dragonite is another new stone from Peru. Previously called “no name”, we have been given permission to name this unusual mineral and locate its identity. Comprised of serpentine with hematite and pyrite inclusions, we¹ve found it to activate brain synapses and stimulate pineal activity. Place around the head during meditation or a crystal therapy session will clear the mind and give you a sense of bliss.

Tektites are the result of meteorites hitting the earth and with intense heat, melting the silica, and forming a glass like structure. Although not technically a metal, tektites are certainly the by-product of metallic activity and are here to remind the Star Children that we can make our home here as easily as we can with the stars. I¹ve found that placing tektites over the second chakra eases the anxiety, creating a sense of coming home.

Shaman’s Stones (Moki Marbles, Mock Marbles) are iron and sandstone concretions found along the north rim of the Grand Canyon. They are naturally spherical an they are usually a medium brown to grayish-brown. They form in size from 1/2” to 2”+. They are best used in pairs and have a tendency to naturally be attracted to a ‘mate’. They should be chosen as a male and female pair for the best results and as such, they help balance polarities as you hold them.
Shaman Stones are a powerful time travel tool for inner transformational work or journeying tools to be used during shamanic work. They will also act as psychic protection during your journey work, providing an energetic shield from negative energy or entities. They can enable a clearer perception of what energies are around you in any circumstance.

Shaman Stones help balance polarity. Hold one in each hand (either the male Shaman Stone in the right hand or the female Shaman Stone in the left hand), depending on what type of balance you need daily. Set your attention into your first chakra while holding the pair of stones and allow the balancing to occur. Move up each individual chakra, balancing each one, ending at the crown chakra.

I have found that in doing work along the spine and beneath joints, these stones will ease physical pain while allowing the etheric body to adjust to daily planetary physical changes and shifts.

Metallic Quartz Crystals

Whenever we change an original form into a new form, without compromising the original’s integrity, an harmonics is created. This expresses Fifth Dimension within Third Dimensional reality. Each crystal will naturally hold the properties of the metals to which they are bonded and can focus energy up to ten times more powerfully into cellular structure than a clear quartz crystal.

Aqua Aura Quartz is clear quartz crystal permanently surrounded by 24KT gold vapor producing a brilliant turquoise, opalescent crystal. Where artificially altered crystals can be metaphysically less valuable, this treated crystal is enhanced by the alchemical treatment. Imbued with the ninth & tenth rays of higher vibrational healing, this stone enables the bearer to connect with the eighth chakra more easily and securely. These stones, as single crystals or clusters, are excellent used around the head for allergies and headaches.

Raspberry Quartz is surrounded with silver, gold and platinum vapor and can ground your client instantly when placed firstly on the base chakra and secondly on the sixth chakra. Resembling its name as an opalescent red/purple, you can use it with garnet or ruby or clear quartz for base chakra clearing and activation.

Opal Aura Quartz is enhanced with silver and platinum vapor. This stone resembles a soap bubble reflected in sunlight. It shows all the colors of the rainbow in an opalescence of clarity. It is amazingly gentle and sweet. When placed upon the Heart Chakra, it emits the energy of kindness and compassion – immediately. Moldavite

Moldavite is created from outer space dust and gases combined with Earth gases at approximately 25,000 miles per hour. As a meteorite hits the earth at an angle, it is launched back into space taking Earth debris with it before hitting into the Earth and melting the Silica Dioxide and Aluminum Oxide in the immediate vicinity of impact. Holding both outer space and earth elements it is an inter-dimensional stone and connector to our star brothers and sisters.

Moldavite invites you to open up the channel to alternate spiritual levels and teachers on multiple levels and to Source Itself. Continual work with Moldavite will raise your frequencies higher and higher and will activate the chakra system and pranic tube to a greater ability of holding higher and more vibrant vibrations as well as activating and clearing the nervous system for greater physical potential. Yes, Moldavite invites you to fly, but remember, Soul Purpose is to raise the Earth’s vibration to Ascension frequencies, so consider your healing in alignment with the Earth by using Moldavite with some grounding stones like Hematite, Pyrite, Obsidian, or even Amethyst or Rose Quartz.

Used over different chakras, Moldavite accesses and transforms different polarities and alignments, (See “Crystal CoCreators”) but one of the greatest transformations is its ability to assist the heart and solar plexus chakras into accepting new connections with the whole. Many people have reported intense physical reactions for a month or two when first bringing Moldavite into their field. We have found that sleeping with your Moldavite, as well as wearing or carrying a piece, will ease the struggle of any blocks or resistance to being part of the whole and the experience to unlimited love you may have. Sleeping with your Moldavite allows the unconscious mind to negotiate any resistance the conscious mind has created through beliefs of fear and limitation.

Moon Jewel Jasper (ocean jewel jasper)

Moon Jewel Jasper is also referred to as Ocean Jasper or Orbicular Jasper. Mined in Madagascar, they come in a full spectrum of colors and color combinations. Many of the specimens have beautiful quartz druzy inclusions. Grown in block formation, the mined stones are cut into unusual disks, spheres and eggs. Each one resembles a small universe or a planet from our own solar system.

No matter the coloration of your Moon Jewel Jasper it is a stone much like the inner strata of Mother Earth…varied, complex, unifying, tough, enduring. This mineral reminds me of the Mandelbrot Set formations that show how order and chaos converge into perfect harmony. This mineral will support anyone while they move beyond where they are or what they believe, helping them to unify the whole and show the world their inner beauty… no matter what.

Because of their unusual color combinations, this mineral can be used at any chakra in multiple ways. The brown and pinks at the first or fourth chakras for bringing in grounded loving-ness. The blue and violet could be used at the fifth, sixth or seventh chakras for clarity of intention, vision or for calmness and peacefulness. The green and red at the first chakra for healing old patterns and grounding. Or you could place a yellow and green one at the third chakra for strengthening the idea of personality.

Because very little has been written about this mineral, you can experiment with its uses to find how it best works with you and your clients.

Moonstone

Moonstone is good for use during the birth process and for easing female problems. Place it in your pockets after ovulation to ease any difficulty with your monthly flow. You can place a dish of tumbled Moonstone on the nightstand on each side of the bed to maintain marital balance and harmony; and that dish of Moonstone will also aid in your intuitive and clairvoyant nature while you sleep.

Moonstone is a balancer of the emotional body. Wearing a Rainbow Moonstone will not only bring you peace, but it will remind you of balance the emotional body with the heart in preparation for the Christ Conscious Ascension process humanity is preparing for during the current Shift.

Moonstone is good for mild depression and can be used as an elixir for a nervous stomach. It can help you focus on the positive aspects of change and calm your energy and soothe the energy field. It can also be used for anxiety, asthma, and insomnia. It can successfully be placed on any chakra.

Morganite

Morganite is a pink colored beryl ranging from rose to pink to a pale honeyed-pink. It crystallizes in masses and prismatic crystals, sometimes vertically striated or terminated in small pyramid-like faces.

Strongly related to Emerald, this heart-centered stone initiates the feminine self to fully embrace happiness and to feel the strength of feminine beauty and wisdom. As you release antiquated guilt of the feminine, you heal the karma connected to many lifetimes, Morganite helps this healing and in the activation, cleansing and stimulation of the heart chakra.

Morganite can make life seem more worthwhile. It has a very loving aura and it is good for women recovering from abuse and for men wanting more balance in their feelings. It is also an excellent stone to bring spirituality and (re)balance into relationships… sexual and racial.

It also supports the feminine to express its power and independence. This is different from imitating men, this is the spiritual consciousness of remembering innate feminine power.

Morganite can be used, in massive form, as a powerful stone to use in medicine wheel ceremonies to provide the expression of brotherhood and the unity of humankind.

Moss Agate

Mystical Merlinite or Indigo Gabbro
Indigo Gabbro is a relatively new crystal mined in Madagascar and in various locations in Alaska. It has an amazing array of colors from light indigo purple to black. “Gabbro” refers to a large group of dark, coarse-grained mafic, or igneous rock, formed of silicate [SiO2, or quartz] that is rich in magnesium and iron. It has a chemical equivalent to basalt, but with decidedly different energies. Gabbro is an essential part of the oceanic crust.

Gabbro is a combination of multiple minerals containing feldspar, chlorite, serpentine, muscovite, pyroxene, hercynite, and magnetite in a charcoal colored matrix; it may also contain small amounts of olivine, chrome garnet, actinolite, and biotite; It can also contain valuable amounts of chromium, nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum, and copper sulfides.

Indigo Gabbro, or Mystic Merlinite in its spiritual aspect, works to unify the two worlds… the one of spirit and the one of the earth. Acting as a bridge between the two realms, it creates a deeper understanding of one’s spiritual gifts and natural intuitive abilities. It is like an awakening bell for the long forgotten memories that this time is asking us to reawaken to or remember. It can amplify your intuitive skills of clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience with even your plants and animal friends.

Working between the worlds, Indigo Gabbro also creates a bridge between the dark and light aspects of who you are. Seeing your patterns as not an expression of duality, but rather the balance between the positive and negative, the heavy and the light, the joyous and the trying. Because this is a time of balancing and accepting the duality within us, Indigo Gabbro shows us the dark and inspirational aspects working in harmony… not conflict. This time of healing the darkness – in ourselves, in our world – is a perfect opportunity for utilizing the Indigo Gabbro for its higher purpose [even as it helps us].

You can find a circuit of unity and alignment by placing an Indigo Gabbro sphere at the root chakra and a flat Indigo Gabbro at the crown chakra. By adding a Morganite crystal at the heart chakra, you will integrate not only the “above” and “below,” but also the fulcrum of who you are to find balance in an ever changing world.

Indigo Gabbro is said to be useful in the treatment of “hot flashes”, cellular swelling and infections. It may alleviate the effects of fevers, and balance the alkalinity of the body. It may also correct disorders of the immune system, bruising, and sprains.

Obsidian is a natural part of the planet as created by volcanic activity. It is actually, volcanic glass. Besides its clearing energy, it also holds the Pele` energy of Earth’s depths to help release through fire and rebirth. It reminds us that even as old thoughts and patterns are released, space is made for new potential and future growth.

Obsidian is also protective during sleep time or during meditation. Sleep with one to help release negative subconscious patterns. It is also excellent in front of a window whenever you have unwanted disembodied visitors or entities. Many people report total elimination of haunting when they place a rough piece of Obsidian by their doors or windows… no more bad dreams.

Many seers prefer using a black Obsidian sphere for scrying rather than clear quartz. An Obsidian sphere is very powerful and accurate visions can be formed through their use. However, because of their quality to help release negativity you must be clear and free from your own past beliefs and fears to use this type of sphere comfortable. The best Obsidian spheres for this purpose are what is called “Peacock Obsidian.” These special pieces are noted by the swirling in the layers seen on the surface caused by being vigorously stirred by molten lava. They are both useful and beautiful.

Onyx
Onyx is one of the traditional stones for grounding and for protection and should be in everyone’s healing bag, or set of healing tools. You can carry this stone in your pocket to keep your mind clear and your thoughts focused. It can also be used during times of stress and to assist in controlling high blood pressure due to stress or worry.

Because its low physical vibration strengthens and stabilizes, Onyx can be used to assist during childbirth. It can also be used to stabilize female problems and to balance out high emotions during monthly menses.

Onyx can be used to balance some of the higher vibration stones such as Moldavite, Danburite, Labradorite, and even Moonstone. When used in conjunction with Moonstone, it helps ground the Light Body into the physical for later activation at the proper time.

This is a dependable earth stone and helps you feel supported by mother Earth during transformational times such as we are experiencing now. Your emotional body feels soothed while your physical body feels harmonized using this stone.

Onyx is a Chalcedony, in the Agate family and has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. This stone is also used to connect into the planet at the Earth Mantle Chakra that connects humans to all earth relations and creatures.

Peitersite
A pseudomorphic jasper with asbestos inclusions, Pietersite is a metamorphosed [folded and stressed from the earth] blue and gold Tiger’s Eye in Quartz. It has the same chatoyancy [waving, iridescence] that is seen in the yellow and brown Tiger’s Eye. But, rather than the earth and heaven connection held by Tiger’s Eye, Pietersite holds angelic creativity.

Pietersite knows the memory of the angels, who centuries ago, focused love into this stone to help humanity use divine creative potential on Earth now. This stone also holds the calm and joyousness of the angels and can help dissolve the confusion and fear resonating upon Earth at this time. Use Pietersite to support the hope and solution you know is in your future no matter what the news is showing or telling you.

If you are releasing deep emotions, this is the stone to bring calm to any emotional outbursts. Named the ‘Tempest Stone,’ it can show the emotional body how to stay grounded into the flow of your life. Pietersite is known to unite the Solar Plexus [3rd Chakra] with the Third Eye [6th Chakra] to create a communication of personality with intuition. More importantly it also creates a strong bridge between the Solar Plexus with Spiritual Throat [Higher 5th Chakra] to help you voice the spiritual changes that can be manifested through conscious awareness.

This is a true “New Age” stone to carry for support and wear for intuitive inspiration as the Earth changes accelerate and finally settle.

Pearl

Pearl has long been associated with royalty, Christianity, June weddings, graduations, and sweet sixteen birthdays. Considered exotic and romantic (and natural or non-cultured Pearl is still expensive) Pearl is connected to the depths of the mysterious seas, found randomly within the heart of large clam-shells. Pearl is actually Aragonite (calcium carbonate) arranged in concentric layers around a small nuclear body. This originating nuclear body can be a grain of sand, mud, clay or other organic material introduced within the shell. The main difference between cultured and uncultured is that the nucleus has been artificially inserted into the shell when creating cultured Pearl.

Pearls are very balancing since they speak to us of the equal values of the etheric and the physical realms. It’s spherical shape reminds us of perfection and the inclusiveness of the continuation of all things within nature and the heavens… true oneness at its finest. It is harmonious because it brings Light as iridescence and symbolically shows the Christ Light manifested into the physical reality.

Pearl blends the animal and mineral kingdoms through its simple make-up and thus is helpful to humanity in helping bring peaceful resolution between the humans and the animals by providing us with that sense of oneness. It helps remind us of our own animal nature and the connection between all living, sentient beings. It helps us to be more kind and loving to all of our relations.

Traditionally Pearl represents truth, faith, charity and spiritual knowledge. To hold the “Pearl of Wisdom” was thought to bestow upon the bearer the highest form of Divine Love and warranted the person with not just responsibility for sharing the knowledge, but trust that the person knew through their Higher Self they were capable of sharing on all levels. Pearl opens the heart and allows openness and alignment with the whole. Pearl also helps integrate more electrical or dynamic crystal energies.

As an elixir, Pearl makes the bones less brittle and strengthens the nerves, especially those associated with the kidneys and the brain. It aids digestion with its calming effect and clears the mind. It is a great elixir for aid in understanding motherhood. It is highly recommended for emotional difficulties, giving them balance and flexibility.

Peridot

Peridot was held in high esteem by the Egyptian Pharaohs and was one of the original stones on the Breastplate of Aaron.

Green ice and cool tones best describe Peridot. It can be used to “cool down” any heated situations involving the ego. Its unusual lime green color combines the yellow of the 3rd chakra and the green of the 4th chakra to unite the focusing of your Heart’s Desire with your intent. When you connect your thoughts with your desires you have the potential for unlimited outcomes.

Lime is one of the Higher Spiritual colors being used today in both intense healing and in 4th Dimensional Transitions.

Peridot can be used for the support and strengthening of the liver, stomach, heart and lungs. It assists in the deflection of outside influences and can be used as a protective physical auric shield after a chakra cleansing , balancing or alignment.

Phantom Quartz

Phantom Quartz Crystals are recognized by two different categories. You will recognize inclusioned Phantom Quartz because the crystal is holding dust, dirt, moss or another entirely different mineral composition inside the main crystalline structure.

While the crystal is forming, there is a slight lull in the growth process. This lull could be a day, or many years, depending upon the circumstances and conditions within the cave formation. During this lull, another mineral or element is introduced into the feed, or “Mother”, solution allowing the secondary substance to attach itself to the original crystalline structure. The quartz crystal, now holds the energetic characteristics of the additional element while maintaining its original integrity.

If this is the type of Phantom Quartz you have, discovering what mineral or substance composes the secondary element will help you decide what added qualities your quartz crystal is holding.

The primary type of Phantom Quartz Crystal, shows the clear delineation of another completed crystal inside the major crystal. Many times you will notice several (I have counted up to 30+ individual crystals housed in one) complete crystals inside each other. This form of Phantom Quartz Crystal is also a Master Crystal because of its unique ability to represent the separate and unique lifetimes of the one quartz crystal.

In geological terms, the first quartz crystal stopped its growth period at which time cave dust settled upon the resting crystalline structure. When the Mother solution was reintroduced into the cave, rather than a new and separate crystal forming (the most common process), the Mother solution reformed over the original crystal, entrapping the cave dust and giving the crystal a ghostly look, thus the name “phantom”. This process of rebirth, as we discover with Phantom Crystals, can happen many times.

This rare occurrence reminds us of how often we, as souls, are reborn into this world…carrying with us the original soul imprint with added soul “dust” into our present incarnation. They can also help with inner growth while encouraging us to reach beyond our limitations.

This is my favorite type of Phantom Crystal because of its many uses while investigating past lives and reincarnation. An excellent meditation crystal for delving into your multifaceted life, or the lives of your clients. If you do not have one of these excellent meditation tools in your crystal arsenal, now might be a good time to begin your collection.

Phenacite

Phenacite stimulates the Light Body by emanating pure clear light. It is an important stone for aiding your higher consciousness and assisting with the current ascension process we are experiencing. While an individual stone may be smaller than a cherry seed, each is incredibly powerful and direct in its ability to open the third eye and crown chakras. This little stone seems to both soothe and stimulate the higher chakras. It acts like an inner planetary vehicle for opening inter-dimensional doorways for inner journeying, travel, and understanding of sacred geometric formations. Because it has the ability of prefrontal lobe stimulation, it can help develop prophetic visions and support remote viewing.

There are variances in the Phenacites from different locations… The Brazilian Phenacite [more plentiful] is very direct and strong in its higher chakra focus and stimulation. The Russian Phenacite [becoming rarer] not only works with the higher chakras, but it seems to have a deeper vibrational base and engages and stimulates the entire light body. Prehnite
Prehnite is found in Australia, Africa and India. My favorite is the Australian because of its pale butter yellow, translucent appearance found as tumbled stones, carvings and in jewelry. The Indian variety is found as pale green clusters growing with stilbite inclusions. Both varieties are lovely.

Prehnite has an expansive effect. It allows you to connect with whatever you may not recognize in your life or what do not wish to recognize about yourself. Thus, it helps you to expand beyond your current mind set.

This stone resonates at the Higher Third Chakra level due to its yellowish-green vibration. Combining mental consciousness with the heart’s ability to love, this stone teaches us to think before we act and speak kindly to all we meet… whether in this dimension or another. Using Prehnite as a teacher of conscious patience is a valuable asset to any mineral collection. Prehnite will also calm the ego while supporting the personality’s desire to follow the heart’s messages.

Prehnite doesn’t recognize the physical world as being a unique or different reality from the spiritual levels, and it allows you to blend multiple vibrations and levels of consciousness. DNA structuring is supported by Prehnite as it helps move out cell negativity and clears the emotions.

Besides working so diligently on the physical levels it can enhance the gift of prophecy and supports intuitive “knowing-ness.” Predictions dealing with spiritual growth or awareness are more accurate and trustworthy while using this stone. Prehnite can also be used in grid work and when seeking ET visitations.

It is unsurpassed as an elixir and can be sprayed over any chakra to help align with the eighth chakra. It creates relaxation and calming and can relax tired muscles and feet.

Pyrite
Also referred to as “fool’s gold” because of its brassy gold appearance, Pyrite can grow independently as a mass, as striated cubes, as dodecahedral crystals or as a replacement mineral supplanting many other minerals forming beforehand. It is a composition mineral of iron and sulfur.

Pyrite acts as an excellent shield and protective defense against negative energies. It may be worn, carried or used as a grid for aura protection and strengthening. This simple mineral has the ability to protect the physical body by creating a strong electro-magnetic grid in the aura to form a barrier against pollutants. This strong protective ability keeps away all forms of negative vibrations allay physical threats or danger.

Pyrite can help you see the reality behind the facade. Acting as a mirror or reflection of the truth behind experience, this mineral promotes deep understanding of what is being said or done. It will support the intellect and enhance the memory.

Quartz Crystals

Quartz Crystal is one of the most common minerals found on the planet. Found growing with aquamarines and topaz, it can lead the way through a mine to gold. It has been the darling of the New Age. Quartz Crystal is nature¹s natural transmitter, and it will “pick-up” or mimic whatever energies it is around. Quartz will collect the energy in its environment. It will gain more clarity in a loving, joyous environment and it will become cloudy and dark in a negative, fearful or angry environment. It’s most useful and scientifically useful quality is known as the piezoelectric effect, which is the capacity to transform vibrations into an electrical current. This effect allows us to transfer thoughts (good or bad), intent or vibrations into the Quartz Crystal. The clearer and larger the Quartz Crystal point, the more amplified its transmission.

As well as using your Quartz Crystal for personal meditation and energy work, you can also place one in your home or office for rebalancing the environment, activating & clearing corner stagnation and much, much more.

Cleaning your Quartz Crystal is essential to good crystal therapy. The standard technique is to place your Quartz Crystal in sea salt or kosher salt water for 36-72 hours. The strength of your solution and length of time submerged will depend on the energy corruption to the Quartz Crystal. You can also try my favorite cleansing technique, distilled water with lavender essential oil to clean and refresh your Quartz Crystal.

Another great form of Quartz Crystal is a variety called Candle Quartz (or Pineapple Quartz) It is a quartz crystal harmonizer from Madagascar, and it has the ability to direct the energy of the other stones placed around it. Candle Quartz makes you feel good about yourself. It can also help in past life work and in accessing ancient memories. Here is a crystal that carries many voices, many lives, many souls, many choices. When placed upon the Heart Chakra, it gives peacefulness and the ability to think clearly.

Quartz Flames

These unusual crystals are a new find from the third generation quartz miners and crystal cutters, the Venturini Family. The Flames are cut from whole quartz crystal points, both very clear and with rainbow inclusions, and from Citrine with Rutile or Tourmaline inclusions and Quartz Crystal with Green and Black Tourmaline inclusions. Similar to the four sided Marcel Vogel “water” cut crystals of the 70’s, these quartz pieces also have a slight twist or twirl to the sides giving them a “flame like” appearance. The Venturini’s have also cut some of the Flames with three sides making them even more trance-like inducing.

While Crystal Flames are not a particular mineral, they are wonderfully unique and a must have for your crystal collection. Loosely held between the palms of the hand, we’ve found the Flames to instantly place the holder into a deep Theta meditation state, even dropping down into a Delta wave length. This allows the holder to reach into their meditation with ease and without the mental clutter so often usual to the part-time meditator. While you may experience the feeling of being asleep, you are really so deeply, and instantly, in a trance state that you will find immediate clarity and a sense of peace. Everyone using the Flames emerged from their meditation feeling the day’s burdens lifted and completely renewed.

Rainbow Quartz

Rainbow Quartz is the newest India discovery from earlier this year. It was very difficult to locate for purchase, but I was able to find a supplier of this delightful mineral just before the Denver show last month.

Rainbow Quartz grows much like Spirit Quartz from Africa. But, where Spirit Quartz grows as multiple small amethyst terminations around one single quartz crystal these new quartz clusters grow as small terminations or multiple terminations around a piece of quartz or black coral. The points have full multi-colored faces that have not been treated or changed in any way. Each cluster is unique and different in its appearance and the faces reflect pink, blue, green, violet and yellow light emanations. This is not the refraction of light we are used to seeing called rainbows in other crystals; these are multi-color flashes off the very surface of the crystals themselves. They are pure J-O-Y!

These crystals speak to us of transformation and the coming Light that we have been seeking. Their message is to remember that no matter how hidden or covered up the light may seem it is always there for us to discover, use and share.

Rainbow Quartz also asks us to care for ourselves, reminding us to not be neglectful or stubborn in nurturing ourselves. They ask us to bring the fun into our lives and set aside any drudgery on a daily basis so that we can remember our origins of open-hearted love and joy.

Place one over your Third Eye Chakra and allow your inner seeing to blossom and awaken into what the Universe is bringing to us now.

Use two, one at the front of the body and one at the back, loosely ‘sandwiching’ the body. Start at the First Chakra, hold the two clusters about 1″-2″ away from the body for 30-60 seconds. Slowly sweep the crystals up the body, stopping at each chakra to energize, clear and renew it.

Rhodizite
Rhodizite is a small stone with great power and potential. Reflective of our own human qualities, this little powerhouse resonates with the Third and Crown Chakras. It both adjusts and strengthens confidence and personal power. Rhodizite is a perfect mineral vehicle for working with into 2012.

The amplification of the new life energies we are all experiencing are reflected in our stone and mineral friends. Rhodizite is one of the amplification stones for the Mineral Kingdom. One Rhodizite is good… two or three are even better. It seems that the more Rhodizite you hold, the more powerful they become. This stone magnifies whatever it is working with. If you don’t have a large generator to send out messages of peace and love, then let a Rhodizite create the energy of a generator with only your programmed hand-held crystal.

Used in this way, you can place Rhodizite onto a prosperity grid, or tape several onto the several stones around your meditation space. The magnifying vibrational properties and enhancement to its surroundings makes this little mineral a true powerhouse of great possibilities.

This is one of the rare stones that does not need to be cleared as it circulates the energy in and around itself to recycle stagnate or negative energy and move it through the energy fields. An 8.5 on the hardness scale, Rhodizite is considered a complex mineral of borite containing potassium, cesium, beryllium, aluminum, boron and oxygen. It most often forms as a rhombic dodecahedron and is usually colorless, white or yellow.

For healing, think Rhodizite. Weak chakras stagnate chi, or chronic illness can all be corrected by placing a small piece of Rhodizite on the weakened area, or by wearing it in jewelry or in a pouch. Consider further enhancing your psychic abilities by placing a small Rhodizite at the Sixth Chakra center. Program an Aventurine for health, and use a Rhodizite to amplify the program. Since this is a time of creativity and instant manifestation, having only one small Rhodizite with you daily will create more possibilities than any of us can imagine.

Rhodochrosite
Rhodochrosite combines the emotional authenticity of the color orange and the loving warmth of pink to create a rich, warm pinkish-orange stone that merges these two energies. Placing love and compassion above the emotional needs of the “little self” at second chakra and to watch over the personality at third chakra. This uniting of the physical world and the spiritual world is all about bringing the illusion of duality into a clearer light. Some of the newer Rhodochrosite specimens have even altered from what you may be used to seeing. These new pieces have the deep rose color of the inner heart and call to mind the Mary Magdalena energies of compassion with service and healing for all beings.

Rhodonite
Rhodonite promotes the energy of compassion and love. It opens your heart on the physical level and shows you how to be practical in love. It is a stone of community because it supports you in rediscovering the gifts you have for the good of all. While Rhodonite, is not a newly discovered stone, it is one of the major stones for 2013. This is a year to adjust how you see yourself and the world; this is a year to dig deeply within all that you are, that you might become who you are supposed to be. And Rhodonite is the perfect addition to your mineral collection for this reason.

One of the strongest lessons of Rhodonite is that the giver is really the receiver. So, the more you share of yourself, the more of yourself you receive in return. Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is pink quartz, ranging from pale pink to a deep rose color. It derives its coloration from titanium, iron or manganese, depending on location. Most often found growing in slabs or masses, it will occasionally grow in crystal form as clusters of tiny pink terminated crystals. Most usually mined in Brazil, it was first discovered in Maine. The finest examples of Rose Quartz are from Madagascar and have a rich, deep pink coloration, many times showing with what is referred to as “stars”. These stars, also known as asterisms, are created from microscopic rutile needles within the Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz contains a great sweetness and gentleness unlike any other stone. It is the first of the Heart Chakra stones to begin the healing process of the heart that holds childhood scares from deep emotional wounds.

Rose Quartz is one of the most written about stones in the mineral kingdom. It has been prized since Egyptian times and used as a skin beautification tool, powdered and used as an elixir to calm The mind, and implanted in the body for strength of character. Even the Romans valued Rose Quartz as a prevention for wrinkles and to encourage a clear beautiful complexion.

Rose Quartz draws love and peace to the heart. It is valuable for healing wounds of the heart. Everything flows to and from the heart, and placing a Rose Quartz at the heart during times of stress soothes and eases anxiety and allows you to take a deep breath you may not have realized you were holding.

Ruby

Ruby, a corundum, is found in varying shades of red…from the most desirable as a clear, deep, blood raspberry red; to the more opaque Star Ruby cut as a domed cabochon and reflecting a six pointed flare effect, or star, on it’s surface. The most rare variety is a flawless deep red that is considered more valuable than a diamond.

Honored throughout history as the King and Queen of gems, it was considered the perfect wedding stone. Associated with love, marriage, balance and royalty, the ancient Egyptians also extolled this stone for beauty, love, physical protection and good fortune. In fact it was considered to be the greatest physical protector of all known gems. And, in Eastern legends, it was seen as a spiritual stone representing beauty of the soul.

Believed to contain the bloodline of humanity, Ruby often symbolized the sun. Its association with fire and heat gave the impression of a warmth giving stone… and its color is very much like our modern day infrared light. The Hindus believed it burned so deeply from within that it was even able to boil water, while the Greeks believed a carved Ruby could melt the wax when used for a wax impression seal. Rubies were also said to turn pale in color when its owner was in physical danger.

Today, it is still seen as a direct connection to the Creator and as a helper for locating the Creator within yourself. You can still use this stone in connecting with your creative potential and your possibilities for love and its creative flow.

Rutilated Quartz

Rutilated Quartz is a clear or smokey quartz with gold, silver or black Rutile running through it. The Quartz holds the amplifying properties of clarity and direction, the Rutile holds the possibility of movement and cutting through adversity, in any form.

Rutilated Quartz is good for cutting through stagnation and indecision. It will help you to change directions with focus and purpose.
